  1. I saw a news artical the other day and the county was looking ways to save money. One way they could save money is to stop sending a fire truck and a Rescue vehicle to every 911 call. As I understand they both go to every call. I know that there are times when they are both needed but about 95% of the time there is only a need for a Rescue vehicle. You could save a lot of money on gas, equipment and the number of people needed and not hurt the needs of the people. This would also save all of the tax payers money.

    Thanks,
    Ray

  5. I just watched your story about banning smoking at Wrightsville Beach! I’ll I can say is, when cigarettes are banned or made illegal, I feel I do not have the right to say what someone can do or not do in a public OUTSIDE space. As far as I know, it’s everyones’ coast, smokers and nonsmokers alike. Unfortunatly, the problem is people not picking up after themselves. I see alot more than cigarette butts left on our shore, but we are not saying eating and drinking is banned.

    PS: I do not smoke

  6. Hi,
We have been watching the segments on the Greek Festival, and are interested, but we cannot find any additional information about it. Is there a web site? (We don’t have the face book or twitter things) Is there an admission price? Are there Greek bands or musicians & dancers or is it just about the food? I have not seen any kind of links on your website, perhaps I am simply overlooking; I would apprecaite any additional info you could provide me with. Thank you, and y’all do a terrific job! We watch every morning and evening (6 & 11)!

  8. I have a question, when someone offers your station a news story, you ask that they appear and be interviewed on TV, instead of digging in and investigating the story, lol just think if Watergate would have been handled that way, maybe Richard Nixon would have not resigned. but it is safer for your reporters to have someone else do their work for them.

    Comment by Charles — May 21, 2010 @ 2:10 am | Reply

    • Not sure what you mean on that Charles. When someone brings us an idea, we do ask to interview them as part of the story. Safety isn’t a factor in many stories.

  9. the oil prices have dropped drastically, why have the Gas Stations not reflex the prices to us?????? Last I checked it was 69.00 a barrel, yet the Gas stations are still at 2.84 or more. Guess we all know the game now. Really sad,but we all know what goes round, comes around. Lets hope they get with the program these oil companys and do the right thing BY all.

  10. i was driving down a road in Supply when a dog ran out in front of me and i went in a ditch totaled my car.when the cops showed up i said something about that dog running out in front of me[thinking the owner of they dog was liable for my wreak. they cop said there is no leash law in Brunswick county, a dog was like a deer. i don’t think thats right. if his[cop] right the law needs to be changed. if i’m right then they police need too know the laws. how can they inforce them if they don’t know them.maybe i should just sue the dog

  11. I’d like to know more about what happened in Bladen County with Delila Blanks (a county commissioner) trying to vote 4 times at different polles on election day? It seems to be a hush hush situation but I’d like to know why an elected official thinks she has a right to vote more than once… I mean when she tried to vote the second time they told her she had already voted so she decided to got to two other polls to cast another vote.

  16. On June 3rd you ran a story on the news at noon about a woman with allergies. She was allergic to a lot of things including her dog until she got an “alternative treatment” using acupressure points and holding the allergen in her hand while the practitioner would push her arm down. Now she’s not allergic anymore. Can you please tell me where she got this done at????? I have TERRIBLE ALLERGIES!!

  17. try this again i was wandering why it is that there is no tv campaigns to help the gulf coast like there were on the haiti earthquake it looks like there would be more to help our own than help other countries . which i dont have a problem with . as long as it goes to help and not in the pockets of scamers just a thought.

  18. Could someone please explain the situation at Greenfield Park. I went there to feed the ducks but was in shock by all the algae and trash in the water. Wow, how can that go overlooked for so long? I actually felt sorry for two people in a paddle boat, it looked like Candid Camera. Any ideas?
