Lots going on in our area today and our reporters are out hustling.
Lynda Figueredo is at UNCW where a one-armed golfer is demonstrating how he has overcome his handicap. She’s with chief photographer Ryan Koresko so that figures to be a visual and interesting story.
Gavin Johnson is at the National Cemetery on Market Street where repairs are underway to gravestones. He’s also following up on the fire at Malpass Corner Elementary School.
Reporter Max Winitz is already back from an early morning assignement, a fascinating story about fishing but that won’t air until this weekend. He’s at a Historic Wilmington Foundation event where homeowners are signing easements. Look for that story tonight.
Joe Keiley is in Burgaw, reporting on the proposed auto bailout and how it will affect local dealers. Then he’s going to the New Hanover County Complex to report on an event where local government leaders are learning about the federal procurement process.
Later today, Claire Simms will head to Leland to do a story about their new police station.
That’s a quick look at a busy newsroom.
See ya’ on TV…
